Workin' the Graveyard Shift

The following are a few of the photographs I took while in New Orleans.
These graves are above ground because New Orleans is below sea level.

Edgar Allen Poe is rolling in his grave (pun very much intended).

And an icon left beside a large grave.

Jessica

Here's The Beast folks, looking swanky in a silk corset prom dress.
Thanks Ma Baensch for the great location,
and thanks to all of the passerby who hollered at my friend!

Raymond

If you're friends with me, you've probably heard a Raymond story or two.
Well, this is his thermos from which he drinks "unleaded" coffee; he only drinks coffee.
You might be thinking, "Doesn't this make his teeth brown?" No siree, he has dentures.
He used to work construction and likes to talk about the fact that he has dropped this very thermos off of rooftops and it's still in "mint" condition.
It is his artifact.

And, yes, that is indeed a label with his name on it.
And four rubber bands.
And an entirely unnecessary tie around the body.

Shifting Realities: III

Ryan was my next victim in the Shifting Realities project.
I combined images of pure, white Easter lilies with his portraits.
